The Economic Section in Wartime: A Personal Memoir

The surviving records of the Economic Section convey little of the atmosphere in which it worked in its first few years or of the personalities of its members. ¹ The picture which follows is based on the personal recollections of the authors supplemented by those of former colleagues. The use of the first person singular indicates the senior author. ²
