ABSTRACT
The world Free Zones Organization (FZO) launched the ‘free zone of the future’ program (FZF Program), a global initiative for local prosperity that seeks to empower free zones and assist them to build and contribute to a sustainable and prosperous future, and an initiative that supports the growth of local economies and communities while simultaneously benefitting from global market dynamics. Conceptually, the world FZO’s Free zone of the future Program seeks to promote economic growth, boost industrial and commercial activities, create livelihood opportunities, foster innovation, make optimal use of natural resources and achieve all these and more by networking and striking appropriate partnerships. In most cases, the materials destined for each of these types of projects are generally the same, therefore strict accountability applies to the customs status of such materials, and the information relating to these materials must be carefully recorded and accounted for in terms of customs status.
