ABSTRACT
Systems can be quite complicated. Because many systems are so complex, from ecosystems to the Earth’s climate to the solar system, having the ability to analyze complicated systems and describe them concisely and accurately is a valuable skill. Usually when people fail at systems, it is because they either do not see the big picture or do not understand how the details are put together to create it. Understanding systems is a valuable skill for students to possess indeed. Students will work in groups to create a business plan, which they will present to a panel of investors. The business should be a valuable addition to the students’ town or city. Students’ business plans should be typed and include a thorough description of the business. Students’ presentations to the panel should be no longer than 10 minutes, include a visual aid and a logo for their business, and summarize their business plan.
