ABSTRACT

Models bring ideas and concepts to life, making them more practical and easier to understand. A lot of models can be used in the science, technology, engineering, and math world. However, when architects created the model, they understood the difficulty and expense of making the shape circular. Models make learning both engaging and authentic. Models are a practical way to study large concepts, and best of all, they bring learning to life. Students are able to interact and study the models so that they see how abstract concepts actually look and function. Students will create miniature interactive escape room puzzles. Students should construct 2-D or 3-D models of their escape rooms. They must determine the size of their rooms and the materials they will need (e.g., wood, cardboard, LEGOs, Styrofoam, shoe boxes, plastic containers, etc.). Each student’s escape room should be themed, and the display should include details that bring the room to life.
