ABSTRACT

The ability to communicate effectively-both verbally and in writingis crucial to our students during their time in our classrooms and beyond. They have to be able to communicate effectively with their patients in order to explain what is going on, and they have to record what they learned into patients' files so that there is an established record of patients' health. Then, they will develop and present a pitch about what makes their color original and why someone would want to use it. Students should present their pitches to a panel (e.g., other students, parents, administrators, etc.) as though they are pitching their color to Crayola and detailing why it should make a crayon featuring their color. Once all students have presented, the panel members should select their top pitches. Then, readers will develop and present a pitch about what makes their color original and why someone would want to use it.
