ABSTRACT

Collaborating is not something that all students do well. Many gifted students, for example, do not like to collaborate with other students either because they are expected to have all of the right answers or because they feel like they have the right answers and no one will listen to them. Collaboration is the coming together of a group of learners to solve a problem that may or may not have a correct answer. Encouraging collaboration is as simple as giving our learners opportunities to solve real problems. Working together will strengthen classroom culture and help students understand their own weaknesses. Communicating with others seems like something that we are all able to do. Although creative thinking is very important, critical thinking is important as well. Critical thinking is something that we talk a lot about in education.
