ABSTRACT
This exploration is all about similar shapes. The mathematical meaning of similar is more exact than its everyday meaning of "about the same." Intuitively, similar shapes are what you get when you enlarge or reduce a figure (or leave it the same), but the angles, sides, and areas of similar shapes have precise mathematical relationships.
