ABSTRACT
Every polygon has a special point called its centroid. In this exploration, students will investigate surprising and beautiful connections between centroids and similar figures. One of my geometry classes accidentally discovered these connections a few years ago as part of another project. I decided to adapt the ideas as a task for my prealgebra students, and they have enjoyed exploring it while furthering their knowledge of similarity.
