ABSTRACT

Kimberly started to notice that when she was anxious or worried, her body felt different. Her muscles were tight and tense, her heartbeat would speed up, and she seemed to always have a stomachache or a headache. Kimberly and her mom learned different ways to relax her body, and she started to learn how to loosen her muscles and slow her heartbeat down. Kimberly also liked practicing relaxing imagery with her dad before he tucked her in at night.
