ABSTRACT

None of the ideas related to Dynamic Teaching are new, and a large and growing research base shows that implementing these strategies yields substantial improvement in instruction and students' learning. If teachers are not already familiar with any of the steps from the Dynamic Teaching model, the readers need to get their feet wet by trying out the first step. The first step in the cycle is to unpack the standard. Once readers are done unpacking their standard, they will be moving to Step 2: Supplement the Standard. Before starting Step 3, readers need to make sure to read about evaluation systems and familiarize themselves with each system’s advantages and disadvantages. Step 5 is what most teachers consider planning and where most teachers begin. This is the part of the process when teachers choose the tasks that students will complete to align with what teachers now know students must learn.
