ABSTRACT
The dimensions of Seminars and In-Depth Study are the most difficult for the learners to understand and complete. They also include higher levels of learning than those addressed in the first three dimensions of the Autonomous Learner Model. A Seminar is a short-term project for learners to pursue in small groups of three to five members. The Seminar presentation should be interactive with opportunities for audience members to ask questions, interact with artifacts, dialogue about the topic, and exchange ideas and thoughts. A well-designed Seminar presentation will include a variety of presentation techniques, strategies, and materials. By the time learners have reached Seminars, emphasis is placed on production of ideas and projects.
