ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on some case studies to explore issues related to differentiated instruction for gifted learners including special populations of gifted learners in the full-time classroom in early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school settings. These cases focus on the differentiation of content, process, product, affective needs, and the learning environment for gifted students. The gifted students catch on quickly and do not usually have to work as hard as the high achievers in the class. Mr. Jonathon is encountering many teaching responsibilities within the classroom related to attendance, grades, lesson plans, procedures, and classroom management. A behavior management program helps track different behaviors throughout the day. The gifted students catch on quickly and do not usually have to work as hard as the high achievers in the class.
