ABSTRACT

The great equalizer for hundreds of different products is a generic rubric that can evaluate the important qualities of an excellent product. Some teachers prefer to provide it when they present a menu to students. The rubric can be reproduced on the back of the menu along with its guidelines. Although the all-purpose rubric can be used for all of the activities included on the menus in this book, there are two occasions that seem to warrant a special rubric: student-taught lessons and student presentations. School curricula are already packed with information and teachers often feel that turning class time over to students should only be done if the experience will benefit everyone involved. The teacher should not be surprised to note that the students often look through all of their classmates' feedback and comments before ever consulting the rubric the teacher completed.
