This chapter outlines the different types of products included in the featured menus, as well as the guidelines and expectations for each. It is very important that students know the expectations of a completed product when they choose to work on it. The materials for most products are available for less than a dollar and can usually be found in a teacher's classroom as part of the classroom supplies. Some products may be listed in more than one area, depending on how they are presented or implemented. Some teachers prefer to give only a few product guidelines at a time, while others will provide more cards so students feel comfortable venturing out in their free choices. The cards for the products mentioned in a specific menu can also be reduced in size and copied onto the back of that menu so they are available when students want to refer to them.
