ABSTRACT
The United States must have the best military forces in the world if the people are going to remain a strong nation. There are times when there will be unemployment. It is up to private industry to provide jobs. Government should not get involved in regulating business, providing employment, or setting up training programs. The United States government should encourage and help pay for solar power and other renewable energy sources. The government must have enough income (taxes) to pay for all of its programs. The things the government spends money on are worthwhile projects that pay for services that all (or most) people need. Education is a function of the states, and the federal government should not get involved. The role of the federal government should be to preserve land and make it available for all people to enjoy, both now and in the future.
