ABSTRACT

Understanding the intellectual and social-emotional development of gifted and talented students is crucial to meeting their needs. The process is based on a problem-solving model that uses data for decision making and is highly dependent on progress monitoring and data collection. A multidisciplinary team designs, implements, and monitors intervention plans. This case reflects the viewpoints of Claire's teacher and principal, Claire's mother, and Claire herself.
