ABSTRACT
Interactions in Ecology and Literature integrates the study of food webs and ecosystems with fictional and informational texts. This unit, developed by Vanderbilt University’s Programs for Talented Youth, is aligned to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). In this unit students will examine relationships among living things and the environment as well as interactions between literary elements in texts and visuals through exposure to accelerated content, engaging activities, and differentiated tasks.
