ABSTRACT

The final section of this book has focused on support structures that are needed to ensure that gifted learners with special needs receive appropriate services in school communities. The stakeholders within every school community will have different backgrounds and different areas of expertise. Although educators may not automatically know who can help most effectively in a given area, they can still discuss individual student needs, using this book as a starting point. They also can still advocate for these students with the reproducible guide provided (see pp. 118–120). Teachers and their colleagues can learn still more from the resources in Parts II and III of this book, and other publications and web resources included in the Resources section.
