ABSTRACT

Aggravated accuracy assessors often have difficulty with goal setting, as the only goal worthwhile in their mind is perfection, and they become so focused on creating one particular flawless work or perfecting one particular skill that they cannot divert any of their energy or attention to anything else. The unhealthy perfectionistic behaviors exhibited by aggravated accuracy assessors may result from asynchronous development, which is a hardship faced by many perfectionists who are gifted and talented. Additionally, aggravated accuracy assessors may need to hold conferences with the students and their caregivers about their progress in school and at home, particularly if their focus on one goal is harming their progress in other domains. Aggravated accuracy assessors have difficulty seeing the benefits of the revision process because they are so focused on the end product. They, like most students, could benefit from reading about and discussing successful people who have revised their works numerous times.
