ABSTRACT

Many of the reader are not aware that approximately 75% of achievement is attributed to psychosocial skills (which some researchers refer to as noncognitive factors) and only approximately 25% of innate intelligence or IQ contributes to achievement. Resiliency is the ability to bounce back from setbacks. It is always difficult to see a children fail, especially if much effort was put into accomplishing the task. When children consciously take the opportunity to learn from all of their errors, they will approach the unsuccessful task in a new way or with more effort. Errors and Failures can sometimes work out even better then the intended goal—a concept worthy of sharing with their children. Many of the reader are tempted to overhelp their children with homework assignments, art projects, first attempts at baking, playing chess, scrap-booking, etc. .
