ABSTRACT

Students will make final presentations to the three judges. Their presentations should cover the following points:

Identify the most probable source of the E. coli outbreak, defending their theory with research and solid logic.

Present a plan to deal with similar situations in the future. This plan should address all possible sources of the disease that may have been responsible for the recent outbreak.

Student groups should present separately, and groups should be kept in a separate room until it is their turn to present. Since the students will want to see each other’s presentations, videotaping may be advisable. This also gives less diligent groups a chance to see what can be done with appropriate effort.
