ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses a complete example of a high school project-based learning unit, including a calendar, student handouts, and assessments. Thus, data literacy is becoming more and more important for students to master. There are very common types of data literacy, such as mean, median, and mode. High-performing students acted as the moderators for the panel discussion. They also were responsible for teaching lessons every day. Other student groups were the panel participants and had to select their topic as a group. Students may have great ideas they want to implement. It is okay for students to go beyond expectations, but all students must reach the unit objectives. Students complete an example problem, then determine their independent and dependent variables for their data and find a linear regression equation.
