ABSTRACT

Creativity is a natural area of competency for most introverted people. Creativity can apply to any content or subject area, and really refers to the process by which something new is generated. Raised to embrace their naturally creative minds, they infuse creativity into everything from making up word games on the way to school, to finding creative solutions for juggling homework with extra activities. Introverted children are particularly adept at creative activities in a multitude of domains. Adding opportunities for creative expression throughout the day is a great way to encourage and build on this area of natural strength for the introvert. The chapter focuses on developing the positive attributes of intro-version, building creativity and the use of technology. For the introverted learner, technology can be particularly helpful in allowing the introvert a venue in which to develop creativity and build connections, without getting overstimulated through social connection.
