ABSTRACT

Raising a boy with ADHD can be exhausting and seem overwhelming at times, but this book provides the latest information about Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The author encourages us to be both optimistic and realistic about our son’s future by learning what we can do to make the most of his strengths and help him improve in areas that might keep him from using those strengths. One's son with ADHD is unique and has his own set of strengths and skills. He may look like any other boy in many ways but has characteristics that must be looked at through the lens of ADHD, especially its neurological effects. Proper treatment, intervention, and informed parenting can make a real difference in the outcome.
