ABSTRACT
The adolescent and teen years are filled with new experiences and new responsibilities. Adolescence these days can be extremely challenging on many fronts. Many parents begin planning the transition to middle school many months in advance. Maintaining communication with multiple teachers doesn’t have to be as overwhelming as it sounds. Boys with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) show greater difficulty with handwriting and written work than in any other academic area. Extracurricular activities are a valuable part of the middle school and high school experience. Teens with ADHD sometimes make impulsive choices. A student with ADHD might decide to take a class only because his buddy is going to be in the class, not because it is a subject that interests him.
