ABSTRACT
Chapter 12 examines the various types of school settings and programs to determine what might be available and appropriate for your twice-exceptional child. A description of the benefits and drawbacks for 2e children in public schools, magnet schools, charter schools, vocational high school programs, virtual schools, private schools, and home schools are discussed. Information about accessing gifted education services in different educational environments is shared, as well as information on advocating for and accessing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or Section 504 plans for twice-exceptional learners.
