ABSTRACT
The introduction provides background information on why grit is important and clarifies that grit is a combination of passion and perseverance. Additionally, this chapter clarifies that effort counts twice when building grit – more than achievement and more than natural talent. Teachers are also encouraged to embrace their role as Hope Dealer.
