ABSTRACT

Monetary donations to the makerspace will be put toward purchases made at the discretion of our makerspace coordinator. This could mean it is used to purchase a tool or piece of equipment or it may be used to purchase consumable materials for an upcoming project. Tools and materials will be used or repurposed at the discretion of the makerspace coordinator. One unique aspect of makerspace is use of the barter system; when students use consumable materials, we expect them to put something back into the makerspace in exchange. Students can consult with businesses to learn about how production is done on a larger scale and learn about what they can adopt for their own projects. For some of these students, these partnerships may even lead to a career someday.
