Unlocking Your Child's Potential book
To unlock our child’s potential, it is important to examine our child’s multiple intelligences and then foster, build, and enhance his or her natural gifts in the top areas. A child’s natural strengths often become passions and careers that propel him through life. The struggle is part of the learning process as the parent help stretch our child’s capabilities. Furthermore, children who have experienced repeated failures and have low self-esteem may need more coaxing to develop their strengths. These children often want to give up when tasks require ongoing mental effort. Visual-spatial intelligence is the ability to accurately perceive the visual world and to visualize how items fit together or relate. Visual-spatial intelligence deals with shapes, patterns, designs, and color. It includes our capacity to visualize, dream, and imagine. Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence is the ability to use our bodies to express ideas and feelings in a gross or fine motor manner.
