ABSTRACT

Virtual schools are publicly funded online schools offering personalized learning for public, private, and homeschooled students. Students may enroll full-time and receive all of their instruction or may register for specific courses to supplement their full-time school curriculum with permission from their school. Homeschooling generally requires registering with the local school district for guidelines and requirements, which usually include an annual evaluation. Some innovative private schools accommodate the homeschool students for the courses, such as providing science labs or specialized reading instruction, offered on a weekly or daily basis. Because finding the right fit for our child is so critical, the parents have found that many parents benefit from working with an educational consultant who specializes in boarding schools. Choose someone with in-depth knowledge about programs that have proven to be effective for the students with the attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
