ABSTRACT

There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure. This chapter takes a deep breath, reviews the components carefully, identifies which elements need to be implemented or— most likely—to be tweaked, and spends critical up-front time setting the stage for the people future effective and triumphant work with IBL. Sufficient classroom space is crucial, as students will need space in which to work, including their desks or tables; in-class computer terminals; places to store papers, notes, books, and other resources; flash drives; product-related realia; and other types of investigative equipment, such as cameras and recorders. Teachers who move from classroom to classroom may have an issue with classroom space required by an IBL initiative.
