ABSTRACT
One can create their own race car with index cards and a marble. Once they have it moving, they can experiment and see how to make it even faster. Build a couple and race with their friends. Fold the index card in half like a hot dog bun. This will be the body of the car. At the front edge of the car, cut a triangle off the top and bottom so the car will not drag as it moves along the floor. People can decorate their car to look like a NASCAR racer. Next, they will need to make the ramp. Take the file folder and bend the bottom of the folder in, to create an inverted V shape. This will be the track for the marble. People need to set the ramp on a smooth floor. Place the race car at the very bottom of the ramp.
