ABSTRACT
Bugs Moran was running late. He was supposed to meet some of his gang at a garage on Clark Street in Chicago. It was a cold Valentines Day, and the tall Moran had his hat pulled down against the wind and was wearing a heavy winter dress coat. He looked like any other Chicago businessman, but he was not. Moran and Capone had been at war with each other for years. Capone believed Moran’s men were stealing his shipments of whiskey from Detroit. This Valentine’s Day, Moran was going to put one over on Capone. The day before, Moran had received a call that a truckload of highjacked whiskey was coming in from Detroit. When Bugs Moran found out what had happened to his gang members, he was furious. He immediately accused A1 Capone of ordering the hit, but A1 Capone was at his home in Florida.
