Every spy needs a spy kit. What you put into it depends on your assignment, but there are a few essential ingredients that every spy needs.
Spy case: You have to have some place to keep your spy tools and it needs to be portable. Do not simply label a shoebox “SPY TOOLS” and expect to be considered a professional! You need to be sneaky about how you store your tools. An old worn-out backpack is a good choice. It looks innocent enough, and it’s lightweight for easy escapes. Anything can be used to hold your tools; just make sure it looks like something you would normally carry so it doesn’t arouse suspicion.
Notebook and pencil: You have to be able to take notes. Unless you have a photographic memory, you will forget something important. Binoculars: You need to be able to see what is going on in the distance. It may be the only way you can see the signals from your spy partner.
Sunglasses: They aren’t just to block out the sun; they are used to hide your face and eyes. There is a reason that you see pictures of spies wearing sunglasses. It works. A large pair of sunglasses can help you disguise your face. They can also disguise which way your eyes are looking. You can face one direction and move your eyes to look at something else without people suspecting that you are staring at them.
A hat: Spies use hats because they work to help disguise their face. Just make sure you choose a hat that is not your favorite. You don’t want people to recognize you because you have on your favorite team’s hat!
