ABSTRACT
To build a volcano a person need the following materials: 6 cup flour, 2 cups salt, 4 tablespoons cooking oil, 2 cups warm water, Large mixing bowl, Empty 2-liter bottle, Baking pan, Funnel and water pitcher, Red food coloring, Liquid dish soap, Stirring stick, Baking soda, Vinegar, and Water. In the mixing bowl, the person need to combine the flour, salt, cooking oil, and warm water to make a playdough-like substance. He or she will use this to create the outer part of the volcano. They need to stand the bottle in the center of the cooking pan and mold the dough around the bottle in the shape of a volcanic mountain and make sure to leave the mouth of the bottle clear. Once they have finished their mountain, they need to fill the bottle with warm water, almost to the top and leave at least 2 inches of air space at the top of the bottle.
