ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at two examples of the Fable-The 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz and the darker tale from 2006, Pan’s Labyrinth. This chapter outlines commonalities in these two fables such as the use of parallel worlds and the role anxiety and dread play in these works.
