ABSTRACT
This chapter includes empirical data on the state-owned enterprise (SOE) sector in five selected post-communist economies. Each section presents data for a particular country and includes information on the number and position of SOEs on the lists of the world’s largest companies, the list of the largest SOEs in 2018, the number and the share of SOEs in the sets of the largest non-financial companies and the changes of these values over time, the number and the share of foreign state-owned enterprises (FSOEs), the number of listed SOEs, and the values of share rations for a given economy.
