The COVID-19 pandemic dramatically shifted how we view formative data and how we incorporate technology in our work, and this pivotal moment serves as an unprecedented opportunity to transform our practice. This chapter explores the development of an effective training program in greater detail in order to transform the organization’s culture. A data-driven organizational culture embeds formative data use in all facets of planning and action. Once the importance of formative data is established as a critical part of your organization’s vision, it will become easier to secure buy-in and funding for professional development specifically around data analysis. In addition to professional development on specific data analysis strategies, be sure to include trainings to facilitate a philosophical understanding of a data-driven cycle of inquiry and professional learning communities. In the spirit of transparency and fostering an organizational culture built on continuous growth, give broad access to the formative data platform to stakeholders who can benefit and improve their practice.
