ABSTRACT
The third member of Part III (Chapter 5) is my close reading of Spinoza's short essay, “On the Emendation of the Intellect”, from the perspective of a practicing clinical psychoanalyst. It serves as a segue to Part III, which is an in-depth clinical reading of Ethics, Parts I–III.
