A British expat in the Netherlands – “Together we had some great fun and will continue to be friends”
James is a 40-year-old British expat who participated in my PhD project, working for a big cable operator in the Netherlands with a lot of international work and travel experience. Other than working in the United States for a little less than a year, he has worked extensively across Western and Central Europe. He plans to stay in the Netherlands for about 5 years. His local host is Bram, a 31-year-old Dutchman who has lived in Canada for 3 years and has travelled widely and has a passion for culture and intercultural communication. They became very good friends.
