ABSTRACT
In the previous chapter, the understanding of personal perspectives and beliefs of the non-Indigenous mainstream Australian research participants were discussed. Here, in this chapter, I look at how those internal elements are expressed in external relationships, beginning with an understanding of words that carry different meanings for Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. Respect as a central point of difference between the two cultures and is one of many discussed and analysed in this chapter.
