ABSTRACT
Greater detail and examples of non-Indigenous mainstream Australians’ culture are shared in this chapter, including practical one-line examples and advice to help people in dealing with them. Commodification of time, value and ultimately difference in understanding what respect means come together in this chapter. Some of the quirky “Social Lies” associated with the focus culture's socialising are identified here. An example of a cultural quirk of mainstream culture is the love of acronyms.
