ABSTRACT
Instructional constraints include the provision of verbal information that is supported from an ecological dynamics perspective. This chapter provides a detailed discussion on how instructions can be used to manipulate rules/goals of the task to channel learners to search for functional movement behaviours in a representative learning environment. The impact of external and internal focus of attention instructions on the design of learning activities will also be discussed.
