ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we provide comprehensive discussion on the practical applications of Nonlinear Pedagogy in schools and sports. Special emphasis will also be placed to explain how Nonlinear Pedagogy can support games-based teaching approaches such as Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) especially from a physical education context. However, we also make the distinction that Nonlinear Pedagogy is not TGfU and we explore some of the principles of play embedded in games-based teaching approaches that can be supported by Nonlinear Pedagogy.
