Listening to the voices of global university presidents is important to understand higher education. In this interview, Professor Thomas F. Hofmann, president of the Technical University of Munich, discusses personal experiences, leadership insights and arrangements, the institution, and future challenges and opportunities shaping higher education. Professor Hofmann discusses vision setting, supporting people and building communities, institutional structures, spurring innovation and spin-offs, and repositioning universities within changing knowledge ecosystems.
