ABSTRACT
Leading a university is very complex, requiring a sophisticated approach to research. We propose a systematic approach which looks at the preparation of university presidents, the characteristics of presidents’ executive leadership teams, leadership styles, institutional contexts, and academic innovation. We articulate a framework for analyzing the preparations, characteristics, and dynamics of global university presidency.
