ABSTRACT
The IVRV House was a collaboration between Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles and the Southern California Institute for Architecture, a renowned design school in Los Angeles known as SCI-Arc. Driven by student teams, the home provided an opportunity for students to explore affordable housing design and see their research realized as a family home— and for the Habitat affiliate to gain a better understanding of the possibilities that come with academic partnerships.
