ABSTRACT
This chapter offers an opportunity for professionals who work with parents to use the SmartStart Toolbox Program as a diagnostic assessment within the Dynamic Assessment framework. The chapter includes profiles for recording the pre and post program interactions of mediators, as well as the responsiveness of their children to this mediation. Within the pretest-intervene-posttest format of dynamic assessment, the activities within the units of Chapter 3 offer the selection of interventions for this process. The chapter ends with a chart to facilitate match-making between the needs of the child and the interventions offered by the mediator.
