Four general election defeats, failure to land blows on a dysfunctional Prime Minister and mid-term election reverses to an incumbent government has led some to suggest we are seeing the breakdown of the Labour Party’s traditional coalition of support and to wonder if the mountain the party must climb to ever govern again is too high.
