ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the final steps in the multi-hyphenate discovery process by exploring the concepts of passion, purpose, and socially responsible artistry. Artists must be passionate about what they produce, and in turn, they may find their purpose. Because multi-hyphenates are responsible for accessible ways into the industry, it’s crucial that one also be socially responsible by serving their community, finding equitable ways to include artists, and bringing audiences into the theatre. Finally, the reader will understand that artistry based on multi-hyphenation will make art more specific and engaging, ensuring the future of theatre appropriately reflects political and social climates.
